Made-To-Measure

Monèt is a menswear tailoring house that blends traditional craftsmanship with a modern, considered approach to design. We specialise in made-to-measure and bespoke tailoring, creating garments that move beyond the classic suit. From overcoats to chore jackets, oversized bombers and technical winter coats, each piece is cut and finished to your measurements, giving you both precision and personality.

Our house cut is very English, drawn from traditional Savile Row heritage with a softer approach to construction, offering soft or natural structure through the shoulder, gentle drape and an easy sense of movement. A higher armhole allows comfort and mobility, while shaping through the chest and a subtle sweep at the waist create a flattering, understated silhouette.

We limit ourselves to no more than 12 fittings a month, 144 a year without compromise, ensuring every client and every garment receives the attention to detail it deserves.

Our process is straightforward yet deeply intentional:

1. Arrange an Appointment

Book a consultation with our head tailor, Marcus. Monèt is a London-based tailoring house with a presence on the Strand and within Holland & Sherry on Savile Row. For clients who prefer it, we also offer a travelling tailor service, bringing the full made-to-measure experience to your home, office or hotel anywhere in the UK. Wherever we meet you, the process remains personal, considered and seamless.

2. Discuss Styling

Every detail is considered—fabric, colour, cut, silhouette, and functionality. Whether you’re after a traditional tailored piece or something with a more relaxed, contemporary feel, we work with you to create a garment that reflects your style.

3. Take Measurements

Precision is key. We take into account everything—posture, sleeve pitch, shoulder alignment, and movement—to ensure the best possible fit and feel.

4. First Fitting

After six to eight weeks, your garment arrives from our workshop. We assess the fit, making note of any necessary refinements to achieve the perfect balance of comfort and structure.

5. Final Adjustments

Our team refines any final details by hand, ensuring the perfect balance of fit, comfort, and craftsmanship.

6. Collection

Once the final touches are complete, your garment is ready for collection or dispatch—whichever you prefer.

At Monèt, every piece is created with longevity in mind—designed to be worn, lived in, and appreciated for years to come.

FAQS

What’s the difference between Bespoke and Made-To-Measure?

A bespoke garment is created entirely for you, based on a paper pattern drafted by our Savile Row cutters. The process usually involves around three fittings and can take up to 80 hours of work from our team of cutters, tailors and finishers. Timelines vary, but most bespoke suits are completed in around ten weeks, depending on your availability for fittings.

Our made-to-measure tailoring begins with a fitting using our house fitting garments, allowing us to take precise measurements and assess your posture. The pattern is then refined to your build and stylistic preferences. As with bespoke, you can select your cloth, lining and design details. Most made-to-measure suits are ready for a fitting in roughly eight weeks.

How long does a Made-To-Measure garment take to make?

For a Made-To-Measure garment you want to allow 6-8 weeks from start to finish.

How many fittings are required for a bespoke garment?

Bespoke commissions involve three to four fittings: a baste fitting, a forward fitting and a final fitting, with additional interim fittings if needed to ensure everything progresses as intended.

How long does the Bespoke process take?

Anything usually between 8-10 weeks from start to finish. Although sometimes longer depending on clients availability for fittings.

Do you only make suits?

Although we are rooted in English tailoring, we are not limited to suits. Our collection extends to safari jackets, casual trousers, overcoats, technical outerwear, knitwear, chore jackets, bombers, shirts and more.
