Our Story

Monèt is a London-based bespoke tailoring house founded on a deep respect for Savile Row standards and the discipline of traditional craftsmanship. Built by Savile Row–trained tailor Marcus Oliver Wiles-Shortall, the house exists to create garments of exceptional quality, guided by uncompromising standards and a genuine obsession with doing things properly.

At the heart of Monèt is a simple belief: tailoring is an art form. Every garment begins with that understanding. From bespoke suits to made-to-measure pieces, each commission is approached with the same level of care, precision, and technical integrity. Cloth is selected from the most respected mills in the world, construction is handled with patience and focus, and nothing is produced without purpose.

While our roots are firmly planted in classic English tailoring, our outlook is contemporary. Monèt approaches tailoring as everyday clothing, not something ceremonial. It’s about clothing that works in real life. Our house cut is built on the idea of suits to be lived in. Comfortable, functional, and considered, our garments are designed to move with you and improve with wear. Tailoring should feel as natural and wearable as workwear, suitable for daily life beyond the office, without compromising on structure or refinement.

Our aesthetic leans relaxed and elegant, with soft construction, thoughtful drape, and clean proportions. The aim is always the same: garments that feel personal, balanced, and effortless, while maintaining the integrity of proper tailoring.

Monèt operates first and foremost as a London tailoring house, with clients welcomed at our Strand showroom and within Holland & Sherry on Savile Row. Alongside this, we offer a travelling tailoring service, bringing the same level of craftsmanship and attention directly to you, whether at home, in the office, or while staying in a hotel. Wherever the setting, the experience remains personal and unhurried.

At Monèt, tailoring is a dialogue. We listen carefully, guide where needed, and execute with clarity and restraint. For those who value clothing not simply as something to wear, but as an extension of who they are, Monèt offers a considered and enduring approach to bespoke tailoring.
